The THAT Staff Awards are our opportunity to recognise some of the excellent staff across our academies that go above and beyond to support their students, colleagues and community. When nominations open each year, our entire THAT community can nominate someone for an award. We accept nominations from staff, students, AND their parents/carers!
Staff can be nominated for awards in a variety of categories:
- Primary Teacher of the Year
- Secondary Teacher of the Year
- Primary Support Staff of the Year
- Secondary Support Staff of the Year
- Professional Growth Award
- Wellbeing Award
- Apprentice of the Year
- Team of the Year
- Central Team Staff Member of the Year
- Unsung Hero Award
- Rising Star Award
- Trust Impact Award
- Volunteer of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- Governance Award
The Awards Evening
Once nominations close, nominees are shortlisted, and those on the shortlist receive an invite to attend our Awards Evening, where the awards will be presented. A range of prizes are awarded, including trophies, certificates, and gift vouchers.
We also use the evening to commend staff on their Long Service, and to congratulate ECTs on progressing in the training programmes.
