I am delighted to welcome you to The Howard Academy Trust website. The Howard Academy Trust started in Autumn 2015 and continues to grow. Our overarching aim and vision is for our member schools to deliver an outstanding education for children and young people.
We aim to create a close knit family of Good and Outstanding schools through partnership, challenge, accountability and support within a cooperative framework, whilst ensuring that
schools within the Trust will retain their unique and individual character. We are truly inclusive and aim to establish the highest expectations for young people and all those who work with them.

The Howard School is a thriving school with a reputation for providing the highest quality educational opportunities for all students.
Temple Mill is a single form entry school with its own onsite Nursery. There are 8 classes in school, from Nursery to Year 6, with have over 200 pupils on roll.
Deanwood is a community primary school serving the full primary age range from 4 to 11. At present there are 200 children on roll, organised into seven classes, across the school.
Miers Court is a two form entry Primary, proud of their reputation as a friendly and caring place where children are encouraged to be the very best they can in all aspects of school life.
Thames View is a two-form entry school, and with our Nursery, educate 480 children in a friendly and caring environment.
Waterfront UTC is a University Technical College, offering a fantastic, unrivalled opportunity for any young person, aged 13-19, wishing to pursue a career in the Construction and Engineering sector.
The Abbey School is a non-selective secondary school in the town of Faversham in Kent, United Kingdom.
A popular, non-selective secondary academy for boys aged 11 – 16, serving the local community of Sidcup.
The Rowans offer alternative provision with a firm focus on supporting, engaging and raising the aspirations of every pupil. Through a trauma informed approach, all pupils have the opportunity to re-engage with education.
As a Trust, we currently comprise of Kent secondary and primary schools in Rainham, Gillingham, Strood, Faversham and Sidcup.

#NAW2026 | Apprentice Wednesday As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we're excited to share the journeys of our apprentices. Meet Oliver Knott, an AAT Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprentice based in our Central Team. After joining The Howard Academy Trust in January 2025, following seven years as a student at The Howard School, Oliver chose an apprenticeship to gain a recognised qualification alongside hands-on experience in finance. Now two exams into his AAT Level 3, he's applying his learning daily, building confidence, and developing his skills within a supportive team. With dedicated study time and guidance from experienced colleagues, Oliver is already looking ahead to progressing onto a Level 4 AAT apprenticeship and continuing his career in finance.
