#NAW2026 | Apprentice Wednesday As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we're excited to share the journeys of our apprentices. Meet Oliver Knott, an AAT Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprentice based in our Central Team. After joining The Howard Academy Trust in January 2025, following seven years as a student at The Howard School, Oliver chose an apprenticeship to gain a recognised qualification alongside hands-on experience in finance. Now two exams into his AAT Level 3, he's applying his learning daily, building confidence, and developing his skills within a supportive team. With dedicated study time and guidance from experienced colleagues, Oliver is already looking ahead to progressing onto a Level 4 AAT apprenticeship and continuing his career in finance. We're proud to support Oliver and all our apprentices as they grow and thrive across the Trust. Meet Holly King, a Level 3 HR Support Apprentice based in our Central Team. Holly thrives in a hands-on learning environment, enjoying the opportunity to turn theory into real-life practice. Through her apprenticeship, she's gained experience across different areas of HR, developed valuable office-based skills, and built a strong understanding of how schools operate behind the scenes. With dedicated time each week for coursework and training, Holly is fully supported in her development and is already looking ahead to progressing within HR and achieving a Level 5 qualification. Meet Brianny Pymm, a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprentice at The Rowans AP Academy, Medway. Brianny's apprenticeship combines hands-on experience with real-time learning, helping her deepen her understanding beyond theory alone. Working closely with experienced professionals, she's building strong relationships with pupils, developing confidence, and finding real purpose in her role each day. With dedicated time for learning, access to workshops and regular CPD, Brianny is gaining the qualifications, experience and clarity she needs to support her future career. Looking ahead, she hopes to progress to a higher-level apprenticeship or degree, with the goal of qualifying as a teacher.
