  • Lettings and Premises Operative

    The Howard School

    Salary NJC E2 Point 1 - £9.25 per hour

    The Howard Academy Trust are looking to appoint a highly effective part time Lettings and Premises Operative with immediate effect to help with venue hire for out-of-hours sports clubs and events that take place on our school sites. The role will include cleaning, hospitality and setting out exam tables and chairs at relevant times of the year.  This is a manual role and will include a heavy workload at times.

    The hours for this post are 20 hours per week All Year Round, 6.15pm to 10.15pm Monday to Thursday, 5.45pm to 9.45pm on Friday.  Subject to some variation starting at 5pm during holiday time. Some flexibility to working hours is required to suit the needs of the role and school.

    The ideal candidate will be honest and trustworthy with the confidence to communicate with those using our facilities, meeting and greeting potential hirers, assisting with the set-up of rooms and moving tables and chairs, cleaning and putting out directional signs.

    As a Multi-Academy Trust, the ideal candidate will be able to travel between each of our sites around Rainham and Medway. A clean, valid drivers’ licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this post.

  • Learning Support Assistant

    The Howard School

    The Howard School is seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant for 26 hours 20 minutes per week, term time only, who is keen to support the education and development of young people in a variety of settings within the school.  The successful candidate will be based within the Learning Support Department and will be patient, consistent, determined, hard-working and interested in helping young people to succeed.
