We're proud to share the highlights from our first term of the academic year across The Howard Academy Trust. Our schools have enjoyed an inspiring and energetic start from hands-on learning, creative projects, and cultural events to trips, residentials, and valuable employer engagement opportunities that bring learning to life. We also take a moment to remember Miss Rita Brobbey from Thames View Primary School, a much-loved colleague who sadly passed away earlier this term. She will be deeply missed by pupils, staff, and the wider community. We're also pleased to have invested £1.3 million through the School Condition Allocation 2024/25 to enhance safety, upgrade IT infrastructure, and improve learning environments across the Trust. Thank you to our dedicated staff, pupils, and families for making this such a positive start to the year. We look forward to sharing more achievements as the year continues. Today, The Howard Academy Trust hosted the first Pupil Parliament meeting of this academic year, focusing on Digital Transformation. Two pupil representatives from each of our nine schools came together to explore how technology is shaping their learning, and how it could be used even more effectively in the future. After a quick round of introductions, pupils shared their experiences of IT across their schools, from interactive screens and laptops to coding clubs, digital photography, and online homework collaboration tools. They discussed how technology helps them learn, stay organised, while also sharing ideas on how the Trust could continue to innovate, from expanding access to digital resources to using AI. It was an engaging and forward-thinking session, full of collaboration. The Trust's senior leaders were hugely impressed by the confidence and insight shown by every pupil, whose voices will help shape how we continue to invest in and develop digital learning across all our schools. We look forward to seeing how their ideas inspire real change in the months ahead, and to welcoming them back for the next Pupil Parliament meeting. #pupilvoice #DigitalTransformationn #EducationInnovation #TeamTHAT #TrustThat #educationkent #EducationBexley The Howard School | Abbey School Faversham | Hurstmere School | Waterfront UTC | Temple Mill Primary School | The Rowans AP Academy | Thames View Primary School | Miers Court Primary School | Deanwood Primary School
To celebrate National Inclusion Week, the Central Team came together to share a little piece of ourselves, from nostalgic foods and vintage treats to dishes from our cultures and backgrounds, and even memorabilia from international travels and heritage. It was a fun and meaningful way to connect, learn more about each other, and celebrate the diverse experiences that make our team so special.
