Over £1.3 Million Spent on Transforming Learning Environments Across THAT

This summer (2025), The Howard Academy Trust invested more than £1.3 million into facilities across our schools, delivering a programme of improvements designed to enhance learning, strengthen health and safety, and ensure our pupils have access to modern, inspiring environments.

While a significant proportion of this work took place behind the scenes — essential upgrades that keep our schools safe, efficient, and fully operational — the Trust also delivered several high-impact projects that directly enrich pupils’ day-to-day educational experience.

Key highlights from this year’s capital investment programme include:

  • Deanwood Primary School — A newly developed EYFS area, enhanced outdoor learning space, and a dedicated cookery kitchen to support hands-on learning.

  • Miers Court Primary School — A complete transformation of the school atrium into a vibrant, multi-purpose learning hub.

  • The Howard School — Upgraded Wi-Fi infrastructure, refurbished toilets, new safeguarding perimeter fencing, and improved site entrances to support both safety and accessibility.

  • Hurstmere School — A full replacement of the school’s IT infrastructure and installation of a new, secure Wi-Fi network, strengthening digital learning provision.

These fully funded projects reflect the Trust’s ongoing commitment to creating safe, modern, and engaging spaces where pupils can thrive. By investing in our buildings and digital infrastructure, we continue to provide environments that support high-quality teaching, enrich the curriculum, and help every learner achieve their potential.

We look forward to seeing these improvements benefit pupils, staff, and the wider school communities throughout the year ahead.
