Mental Health Awareness Week

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. We are committed, as a Trust, to improving the mental health and wellbeing of our staff, and have been working constantly to create a supportive culture in each of our academies, to nurture good mental health.

Each of our academies has at least one Mental Health First Aider. Our Mental Health First Aiders have been fully trained by MHFA England, and are there to listen, if anyone needs somebody to talk to.

We are proud to say that we hold the Medway Gold Award for Wellbeing at ALL our schools, and are working towards the Platinum Award by:

  • Committing to train all Senior leaders as Mental Health First Aiders within the next year
  • Being advocates of prioritising mental health
  • Having a Senior Mental Health Lead in each of our schools

The Trust is continuously striving to improve the workplace health offer, and we are actively influencing our community stakeholders to adopt health behaviours.
