The Hon Paul Morris
Paul has significant successful experience as a secondary Headteacher/Principal of two large challenging schools and has been the Chief Executive Officer of The Howard Academy Trust from 1 December 2015. Paul has been a senior leader across London boroughs and large local authorities for more than 35 years. He is a Local Leader of Education, National Pupil Premium Reviewer and Ofsted Inspector. He has delivered transformational improvement by working with a number of schools to raise pupil achievement and develop the quality of leadership and management.The Hon Paul Morris
- Finance and HR Director
Owen joined The Howard School in September 2010 becoming the Finance & HR Director from April 2014. He graduated from St. Mary's University College, Belfast with a B.Ed (Hons) in Business and Education Studies. Owen is currently completing his professional examinations with CIPFA to gain Chartered Accountant Status. Owen currently leads on all operational activities within The Howard Academy Trust including Finance, Human Resources, Premises & Estates, ICT and Administration.Owen McColgan

Cathy qualified to teach in 1991 having gained a BA (Hons) and a PGCE from the University of London. Cathy was an Advanced Skills Teacher, Senior Leader and Acting Headteacher at The Howard School. She presently leads the School Improvement arm of The Howard Academy Trust. When THAT took a Special Measures school into its family of schools, Cathy met with HMI and led on school improvement planning. She has been involved in School Improvement in all phases, including supporting primary and secondary schools to improve their practice and outcomes for pupils. She has completed the Tribal four day Ofsted Training and taken part in whole school reviews of both Alternative Provision, Grammar and Comprehensive Schools. Her experience as an Advanced Skills Teacher has enabled her to successfully support Senior Leaders who are new to post in a variety of settings.
As an accredited National College Facilitator, she facilitates Middle and Senior leadership programmes for Senior Managers in Primary, Secondary and Special schools. Cathy has completed the NPQH and is absolutely committed to the key importance of appropriate Professional Development for Leaders and Teachers.
Membership of The Strategic Board of the Medway Teaching School Alliance means that she actively contributes to Continued Professional Development, working in partnership with a wide variety of schools, School Improvement, Teacher Training and Teacher Recruitment. Cathy has previously been a member of the Medway SACRE and a Team Leader for both A/S and A2 for an examination board.
She has extensive experience of Governance and has been a Governor in both primary and secondary schools. Cathy has also been a member of an IEB.Cathy Reid
