The Howard School 2019 GCSE Results
The Howard School Year 11 cohort collected their results this morning amidst an atmosphere of excitement and celebration.
The Howard School has maintained its high standards with students delivering excellent results and more students than ever achieving the very top Grade of 9.
80% of students achieved at least a Grade 4 for English, and 70% achieved at least a Grade 4 for Maths. Both of these represent significant increases, along with many other exceptionally strong performances for individual subjects and students.
There have been some outstanding individual performances. Students gaining the prestigious Grade 9 include John Adeyemi for Maths, Chemistry and Physics. Erden Ozkan for History, Biology and Physics. Oliver Dicker and James Geddes for Art and Carlos Romero-Garcia for Art and Spanish.
Other notable performances include students who achieved a number of top grades in many subjects. These include Josh Whyte, Jack Hardy, Louis Hart, Will Phelps, Owen Livingstone, Jack Cope, Cody Goodman, Ben Fox and Jake Brown.
Coupled with last week's excellent A-Level results, this has been another exceptionally successful year for The Howard School and its students.
Head of School, Miss Moore said: “I am incredibly proud of our Year 11 students, who have attained an exceptional set of results. This is testament to the hard work and motivation that they have shown. We thank all teachers, parents and carers for the support they have provided.”
Miss Moore continued, “It is imperative that students are well prepared for their next steps. In addition to the high grades being achieved by many students, our boys have the qualifications to take their next steps into Sixth Form or their chosen apprenticeship. We are thrilled to welcome so many students back to The Howard Sixth Form in September”.
